ACT Games (Co-CEOs: Seijin Jung and Hyungwon Lee) announced on the 7th that it has signed a game development contract with Sanrio Korea (CEO: Kiyoshi Saito), the global character company, to develop a game utilizing character IP.
Under this agreement, ACT Games plans to unveil a casual mobile game in the second half of this year based on the “Sanrio Characters” IP.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Hello Kitty remains one of Sanrio’s most beloved characters, enjoying worldwide popularity.
In addition, according to the 2023 Character Usage Survey conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency, Sanrio Characters ranked among the top five most popular characters across all age groups.
Since its establishment in 2019, ACT Games has been developing and operating four casual games and one TCG, Zoids Wild Arena, all based on popular IPs with strong fan bases. The company also plans to strengthen its focus on global game services through its U.S. subsidiary, ACTIVERSE.
