ACT Games, a global casual game company specializing in character IP-based titles, announced that its flagship game “Hello Kitty My Dream Store” has reached the top ranks of global puzzle genre charts just six months after launch—an exceptional achievement for a mid-sized Korean game studio.
This success is especially meaningful as it was achieved entirely through in-house development and service, without relying on external publishers.
ACT Games handles the entire process of development, operations, and marketing internally, optimizing its cost structure. The company also operates systems that enhance the efficiency of its game services.
Recognized for its global direct service capabilities, ACT Games has secured two rounds of external investment this year totaling 8 billion KRW. Notably, the company increased its valuation by over 30% within just six months of the first investment, drawing attention as a rapid value-up success story.
“Hello Kitty My Dream Store” has shown strong early revenue growth and key performance indicators, outperforming global hits like Merge Mansion and Gossip Harbor, suggesting strong long-term potential.
In addition, ACT Games is currently refining content for its new roguelike action title “Transformers Multishock,” based on the Transformers IP, aiming to enter the Top 50 mobile game rankings in Japan.
As part of its multi-title strategy, the company plans to expand collaborations with globally popular IPs, positioning itself as a top-tier global publisher in the “Character IP × Casual Game” sector.
To achieve this, ACT Games is maximizing genre-specific and IP-driven strengths to boost its influence in key markets, including Western and Greater China regions—areas where Korean game companies have traditionally struggled to gain traction.
By combining localization strategies with publishing capabilities, ACT Games aims to accelerate both user acquisition and revenue growth, further expanding its market presence in the “Character IP × Casual Game” domain.
CEO Jung Sei-jin stated, “ACT Games has laid the foundation to become a rising force in the global mobile gaming industry by 2026, combining global IPs, engaging gameplay, and strategic management. By integrating new management know-how from the manufacturing and service industries with the expertise of professional executives, we’ve built a solid cost structure and rapid production cycle to secure a distinct competitive edge.”
In March, ACT Games was selected for the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)’s “Game Plus” program, officially recognized by the government as a leading K-content company. It also participated in the Korea Pavilion at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
