All Participants Receive Medals, Regardless of Start or Finish
From Running to Performances and Prize Events — “Even Beginners Can Enjoy It”

(Seoul = News1) Reporter Jinhee Kim — “Waking up early on a weekend to exercise, receiving cosmetic samples and Sanrio character plushies—it was such a rewarding experience. Thanks to Cutie Run, I now feel motivated to join more running events.”
Around 7 a.m. on the 20th, the Yeouido area of Seoul turned into a sea of pink. The occasion was the “Sanrio X Olive Young Cutie Run 2025 Seoul,” co-hosted by Sanrio, the iconic character brand, and CJ Olive Young, Korea’s leading K-beauty retailer. The event drew 15,000 runners.
Participants of all ages wore the pink hats and T-shirts provided by the organizers. Despite the early gathering time between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., everyone was warming up with cheerful expressions.
Sanrio fans stood out throughout the crowd. One man drew attention with a full Hello Kitty outfit—from socks and hairpins to a themed bag.

Some runners even dressed as Kuromi to take part in the event. Cutie Run awarded medals to all participants, regardless of whether they started or finished the race.
Finish goals varied widely, with guide runners accompanying participants aiming for 40-minute, 50-minute, 60-minute, and even 90-minute completions.

One female participant shared, “I’m really nervous since it’s my first race, but unlike other events, the character theme and overall vibe make it beginner-friendly and fun—I’m looking forward to it.”
Around 8 a.m., roughly 10,000 runners crossed the starting line. The course began at Yeouido Park, passed over Seogang Bridge, looped around the National Assembly and KBS headquarters, and returned to the park. Smiles lit up the faces of every runner.

Some participants even pushed strollers to run alongside their children. After the race, celebratory performances and events were held, including a show by dance crew 1MILLION.
Sponsors for the event included Olive Young, Photo Signature, Mirip, Skinfood, Epro, ACT Games, Batiste, Dr. For Hair, Dr.G, Sugarrolo, Adidas, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, and Habitat.
