Mid-sized Korean game developer ACT Games is drawing significant attention in the industry. Known for offering an impressive average annual salary of 60 million KRW, the company has successfully secured a total of 8 billion KRW in external investments through two rounds this year, emerging as a new growth engine in the gaming sector.

CEO Seijin Jung emphasized the company’s unique competitiveness, stating,

“By integrating proven management expertise from the manufacturing and service industries with a professional business strategy, we have established a solid cost structure and a fast production cycle.”

In March, the company was selected for the Korea Creative Content Agency’s “Game Plus” initiative, solidifying its position as a government-recognized leader in K-content. ACT Games has also gained international recognition by being officially showcased at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Korean Pavilion.

ACT Games’ success story began with its flagship title, Hello Kitty My Dream Store. Within just six months of its launch, the game reached the top tier of the global puzzle genre charts — a rare feat for a mid-sized Korean game studio. Notably, all of this was achieved without any external publisher, relying entirely on in-house development and service capabilities.

The company’s investment success stems from its solid business structure. By managing the entire process — from development and operations to marketing — internally, ACT Games optimized its cost structure and built systems that maximize service efficiency. This vertically integrated strategy translated into stronger profitability, making the company an attractive prospect for investors.

What’s particularly remarkable is the pace of growth. Within just six months of its first investment, ACT Games increased its corporate valuation by over 30%, quickly establishing itself as a prime example of successful value-up execution.
This rapid rise is attributed to Hello Kitty My Dream Store outperforming global hits like Merge Mansion and Gossip Harbor in key metrics and revenue growth since launch, proving its long-term potential.

ACT Games’ strength also lies in its ability to leverage global IPs. The company is currently developing Transformers: MultiShock, a roguelike action title based on the Transformers IP, aiming to enter the Top 50 in Japan’s mobile game rankings. Through a multi-title strategy, ACT Games plans to expand collaborations with major global IPs and establish itself as a top-tier publisher in the “Character IP × Casual Game” segment.

Founded in 2019, ACT Games is led by a team of seasoned developers who previously contributed to global hits such as Lineage, Sudden Attack, FIFA Online 2, and FIFA Online 4.
Leveraging this deep development expertise, the company has successfully developed and operated five IP-based games to date.

With its high salaries, back-to-back funding success, and strong global performance, ACT Games is showcasing a new model of sustainable growth in Korea’s gaming industry.
